Due to our continued expansion, production manager Ian Croyden has been promoted to director to take the laundry side of the business forward. The move reflects our current growth, and the increased turnover within our laundry division in 2005 which amounts to £750,000 worth of additional business. Ian's new role broadens his responsibilities, and he is now in charge of the entire Winton-based factory where he heads up a team of nearly fifty employees in the company's laundry division. In his new role his day to day duties include employee and customer liaison, the management of all aspects of production, and ensuring the delivery of consistent high standards in the processing of laundry for Barker's commercial and domestic clients. Ian says, "I have worked for the Barker Group since 1998. Now, as a director of the company, I hope to play a more significant role in the continued development of the business, whilst ensuring that Barker's quality and high standards of customer service are maintained."
