Thanks to overwelming industry support, business is back on track despite a fire at our Winton-based factory on Tuesday 20th September 2005.
We have partnered with laundry companies in the south, including 'Sycamore Laundry' (Blossom & Brown), 'Sunlight', and 'White Knight', all of which are working closely with us to ensure a continued high quality service in the days following the incident.
Matthew Barker, managing director, says, "It is our priority to ensure that disruption to our customers is minimised, and I am pleased to report that the factory fire has not affected the operation of any of the Barker Group retail outlets, so business is operating as usual for the majority of the Group.
Matthew continues, "Regardless of the contingency agreements we had in place with other companies in our industry, I have been overwhelmed with the support we have received from the many friends we have in the industry. This, along with the unwavering dedication of my staff, will allow us to recoup our market-leading position in the total fabric care market in the coming months."
Customers can continue to use our retail branches located in Bournemouth, Poole, Boscombe, Andover, and Bath, and can also continue to receive the famous collection and delivery service.
