Barkers are committed to looking at ways of improving their services to customers in all areas of the business whilst at the same time having to look at ways in which costs can be reduced without impacting their quality or services in any way. Unfortunately with much of their processing reliant on the use of oil, and with prices rising, cost cutting measures have had to be implemented, not only in reducing the carbon footprint, packaging waste, energy consumption etc but with staffing too. Regrettably, redundancy measures have had to be implemented with Barkers having to make 7 staff members redundant over the past few weeks.

The good news is the business continues to grow and expand, with all the afore mentioned measures serving to strengthen and bolster the business to ensure it can continue to deliver a quality service to all its customers now and in the future. They have recently won the contract to service all of Sunlights domestic laundry customers and, along with the launch of their new website www.stiffcollars.com, and an innovative and exciting online dry cleaning collection and delivery website in the final phase of development, the future certainly looks bright for Barker Group and its customers.
